Canadian Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia Research Meeting
SEPTEMBER 24 & 25, 2026 – WINNIPEG, MANITOBA
Welcome
We are pleased to announce that the Manitoba CLL Research group, will host its 19th Canadian CLL Research Meeting at the Inn at the Forks in Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 24 & 25, 2026.
Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) is the most prevalent lymphoproliferative disorder in the Western World and has seen great improvements in treatment options and understanding of disease biology, leading to marked improvements in survival in recent years. During this period of progress, many Canadian academic centres have developed focused research in CLL. Canada is particularly well placed for CLL research as the majority of patients are followed and treated in or near academic centres, making the collection of patient data and samples more feasible than in many other countries.
The Canadian CLL Research Meeting has been created to provide a forum for the sharing of CLL research and the development of research collaborations.
In the past the CLL Research Meeting has been particularly successful due to a relatively small attendance from focused CLL researchers that results in high level discussion and valuable feedback after each presentation. This includes members of our scientific and epidemiologic research teams and clinical care teams. Our secondary goal is to help in the development of research careers of junior investigators, and we encourage participation of undergraduate and graduate students, clinical residents and post-doctoral fellows. In this venue they have safe space to present and receive feedback on their research from clinical and scientific leaders but most importantly our patient advisory council.
For 2026, we will be bringing together CLL experts and patients. We anticipate approximately 100 in-person attendees.
We hope you can join us!
Sincerely,
